I am a remote / home office worker for Oracle Switzerland in the Oracle EMEA Technology & Cloud organisation.

My journey into technology started in my military career when most companies data centres where just a closet down the hall connected internally with a coax cable and the fastest modem connection at the time 2400 baud (If you don't know, don't ask).

Let's say, I watched and participated in the expansion of information technology over a long period of time and have to admit, I am a bit of a dinosaur.

I've built computers before the x86 architecture, worked with MicroVAX systems, missed the terminal when Windows was introduced and, with the acquisition of J.D. Edwards & PeopleSoft, I have been with Oracle for over 25 years. When I got started reading manuals was the only option to getting started as even Alta Vista had 0 results for step by step or How-To guides.
